Brett Hall Wins closest race in recent history

Round 3 of the N.S.W Quarter Midget Championship Series at Cullen Bullen Speedway Saw 8 cars in attendance. it was another  night to forget for Jamie Dicker who spent much of the night testing and trialing the brand New Vassall Racing Team Quarter Midget trying to iron out some new car bugs and motor problems. but for all the other competitors it was a great nights racing with battles throughout the field.

 

Heat 1

Brett Muller fended off Brett Halls #54 to score his first ever heat race win, Rob Stephenson finished 3rd from Dean Muller in the ex Garry Biner #88,Darren Todd Finished 5th after a rare spin while battling with Stephenson for 3rd, Robert archbold finshed 6th ahead of Terry Bond.

 

Heat 2

Brett "Cruz" Hall cruised to a solid race win in heat 2 ahead the Muller Brothers Dean and Brett ahead of Robert Archbold, Rob Stephenson Terry Bond and Jamie Dicker, Darren Todd recorded his first DNF in a long time after spining trying to miss a competitor that was out of shape in turn 4. 

 

Heat 3

Darrren Todd made up for the unusual bad run he had in the early heats leading from flag to flag to take the win in heat 3, the ever consistant Rob Stephenson came home second and Brett muller contined his strong run in 3rd, ahead of Hall, Bond & Archbold.

 

Feature Race

In the best race all season it was Brett Hall that lead from flag to flag but it was far from an easy run for Hall who was in a race long battle with Brett Muller and Darren Todd, also in the final laps a fast finishing Rob Stephenson closed right in on the leading pack with the top four crossing the line seperated by the smallest of Margins. with Dean Muller and terry Bond rounding out the field.

 

Round 3 saw the series reach the half way point of the season and its Brett Muller Leading the Standings going into the Christmas Break from Darren Todd and Rob Stephenson but with only 20 points seperating the top 4 its shaping up to be an interesting second half of the season.
